• Premium fly & conventional gear (you are more than welcome to bring yours)

• All tackle and hand-tied flies

• Will also be equipped with all safety equipment as required by the United States Coast Guard (life jackets, fire extinguisher, throwable PFD, air horn, flares, and a first aid kit)

• Cooler and ice with bottled waters

Any medications you need for the day, polarized sunnies, sunscreen (no spray), hat, rain gear (always), shoes with non-marking soles, any food or drinks needed for the day (other than water), and a good attitude! Shallow water draft is critical to our operation, so to keep the skiff light, we ask that you only bring what is listed above.

Your guide provides a blanket license which covers all anglers aboard the vessel. There is no other license necessary.

$100 deposit made when you book to reserve your date. This can be mailed via cash or check or paid via the website.
Your deposit will be fully refunded if Captain Jake cancels the trip due to weather or motor issues. Cancellation with 14 or fewer days’ notice will result in loss of deposit. Cancellations within 48 hours of the trip will be charged the full rate. Credit cards will be charged an additional 4%.

While I understand that NC regulations allow you to legally harvest red drum in North Carolina, we practice catch and release ONLY due to my opinion on the sensitivity of our local redfish population.

Casting accurately is very important to be successful in sight fishing. Would you go play 18 holes of golf the first time you picked up a club? No, you would hit the range… practice makes perfect.
For fly anglers, please practice your double haul. If you’re new to sight fishing and just want to learn, don’t be intimidated. I don’t mind if the fish win every now and then, and I love to teach! You’ll never hear any yelling from the back of the boat.

One night stay is the max, with options of one or two full days of fishing. Fill out the contact sheet requesting the Camp & Cast package info as well as what you had in mind. I will send you a document covering what’s included, what to expect, and package options.
